One of the country’s largest newspaper groups is to fight back against the power of the property portals by relaunching its own website, thehomesmine.co.uk
The Manchester Evening News and its 21 weekly titles will market the relaunch extensively after working with agents across Greater Manchester. Each will have a daily feed into the Homesmine website, which will be free for newspaper advertisers.
Following Rightmove’s example, it will feature properties rather than features and editorial.
The updated website will feature over 22,000 properties for sale and 4,500 homes for rent from the newspaper group’s estate agency advertisers. There will also be video footage of homes and locations.
