Movewithus, the property group with over 1,000 agents in its network, has been ranked 28th in a listing of British private firms with the fastest growing profits.

Last year it was 24th in the listing, the Profit Track 100, published by the Sunday Times in conjunction with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Described as a residential property broker, the citation mentions its ‘prepossession’ service, part-exchange schemes and networks of estate agents and solicitors.

It says that chief executive Sean King has helped profits grow 85% a year from £521,000 in 2005 to £3.3m in 2008.

Apart from a handful of smaller developers, it is almost the only company in the ranking with a connection to residential property, and the only one with a connection to the estate agency industry.

Vossy, if staff are unhappy working for you then they are going to search for new jobs elsewhere anyway. And the internet is so accessible!

Did anyone else get the email about a negotiator job vacancy? As a Director with Staff I don’t take kindly to attempts to poach my staff, however subtle the method. How would Estate Agent Today like it if I emailed their staff offering similar jobs for rival organisations? We signed up for the property blog and not to have our staff poached…..whoever authorised this email should explain themselves!

The Multi Listing model of Movewithus combined with a memorable and catchy name is part of the key to their success. The concept was started by Team with their unique branding. The whole concept puts independent agents combined with their personal service on a level if not higher footing as the Corporates which must be a good move.
