Yet more chain-breaking websites are being launched as agents look towards swapping and exchange broking as their markets, rather than selling.

The latest launch is HomeSwapper4Sale.co.uk, which describes itself as hugely successful and helping 150 families move home every week.

This new launch is hot on the heels of launches by Hamptons, and Team, plus a joint agent and solicitor initiative in Basingstoke, and Derbyshire independent estate agent Michael Brain’s launch.

In the US, home swapping has become a way to move, with mortgage lack of liquidity and agents prepared to swap commission for far lower fees paid to enable home exchange.

With HomeSwapper4Sale.co.uk, the proposition covers all house types, values and locations. Users can find matches to trade up, trade down, swap like for like, move down the street or across the country.

The site allows swappers to get in touch with each other.

HomeSwapper4Sale.co.uk says it already has over £100m worth of properties that have registered on the site.
