Country Life’s issue last week was a Royal Wedding special – and it brought in advertising worth over half a billion pounds.

The bumper 330-page issue was awash with property adverts, including over $200m of US property advertising – a record amount for Country Life, which has been published since 1897 as a weekly magazine.

The Royal Wedding issue had over three times more ads than the same issue last year.

If every page were an advert - that's 1.5 million a page.

I find that hard to believe.
