Despite a difficult 18 months in the property sector, significant developments have been taking place at the UK’s leading property software business, Vebra Solutions, which Managing Director, Tim Summerley, claims have placed the business in a stronger position to benefit from economic recovery.

He said: “We took advantage of the slowdown by taking a step back and looking at every aspect of our business, which included the products we sold, how they were installed and the training we offered. The launch of VebraLive offered us an opportunity to put these plans into action.”

Almost a year after it was launched, sales of VebraLive are exceeding all expectations, with large regional agencies now using the software.  Vebra has also reported that a considerable number of smaller agencies are also signing up to VebraLive and this is expected to increase significantly as the market picks up and new agencies are launched.

Eric Walker, Managing Director at London’s leading estate agents, Bushells, commented: “When we decided to purchase software we looked at several solutions, but it soon became obvious that VebraLive was the package for us. It provides us with exactly what we need – extremely flexible access that allows us to use our data while we’re out and about, as well as a secure central database that we control. VebraLive has supported and enhanced our business from the day it was installed.” VebraLive incorporates the strongest elements of each of Vebra’s traditional software products and puts them on a platform that can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection; be it an office PC, a laptop or a smartphone. This means that an authorised user can access and amend the details of any property, vendor or prospective buyer at any time; either in the office or out and about.

Tim Summerley continued: “Our clients love the flexibility, security and usability of the VebraLive software as well as the support we offer.  We spent a lot of time looking at the installation/training procedure as we wanted users to be up and running as soon as possible. At the moment we can have VebraLive installed and staff trained within three weeks of the client signing up to the product.”

Vebra has developed a full suite of conversion tools that automatically take existing and historic data and convert it into a format suitable for VebraLive. The conversion tools work with data from Vebra’s existing software or that of competitors. Stags, a large chain of agencies based in the South West, benefitted from such a process when they moved from Vebra Solex to VebraLive. 

VebraLive was previewed at a series of road show events held at local hotels up and down the UK.  The company is planning almost 100 more roadshows around the country in the coming months. Tim Summerley continued: “The roadshows were a great success, as they enabled our sales managers to demonstrate VebraLive to a large number of buyers, without the distraction of a typical office environment. At the same time, agents were able to get together and discuss business.”

In addition, sales of Vebra’s other market leading software, Solex, EstateCraft, GMW and Premise, has remained strong, particularly since the launch of Solex V4 and Vebra GMW Orange. The company continues to offer existing clients full technical support, training and regular software updates to users of its older products.

“Clients using our older software products are seeing increased levels of attention as a result of our ongoing focus on support and training - a real USP for Vebra!” claims Tim Summerley.
Free training courses are offered to existing Vebra clients; the Refresher Workshop provides an overview for those who may need to update their skills, whilst the Managers’ Overview is aimed at senior staff, who need to use the software to produce reports and analyse their data.
 
Tim Summerley concluded: “To date, we’ve also carried out numerous free Health Checks for our customers. These highlight software features they may not be using and demonstrate how these can be beneficial to running a better business.”
