Another new property portal has launched, called Gaffsearch.co.uk
It says it aims to gain a foothold in the UK market by providing house hunters with an intuitive property search experience both on mobile and the web, and by helping estate agents get greater exposure.
Co-founder Savio Fernandes said the site is a research tool.
He said: “Property decisions are rarely based on bricks and mortar alone. Information about nearby schools, local amenities and knowing how safe the neighbourhood is, are crucial to the house hunter.
“Gaffsearch does a great job in delivering all this information in one place in a comprehensible manner, thereby empowering the user and facilitating the house search experience.”
Gaffsearch also aims to help agents. Fernandes said: “Agents are the lifeblood of this industry but somehow feel sidelined by the dominant portals, in favour of users and profits.
“We’re aiming to be a reliable provider of quality leads, and in the spirit of competition, we’re hoping that they will embrace Gaffsearch in an alternative or supplementary capacity.”
The portal allows listings for free but intends to charge agents for premier listings and built-in subscription based property management and market intelligence tools it plans to roll out in the near future.

Not a bad looking site.
Not Scraping Zoopla as far as I can see but using the Zoopla API which any portal can request to use.
It is however basically another way of indirectly feeding leads through Zoopla, so doesn't benefit the portal.
Until agents sign up directly with them they will just be feeding Zoopla, which is why we don't use their API.

A decent site, different from the rest. Tried it on the mobile and worked well. Whether they get their data from Z or not, if it increase my agencies visibility, I'm happy. Good luck with it.
Given the comments below my guess is they've just scraped stuff off Zoopla to populate their site.
I'll happily stand corrected if I'm wrong.

Well, all of their properties are pulled from Zoopla and the enquiry contact numbers provided connect you through Zoopla.
So there's either an agreement in place or they're simply a subsidiary.

Actually a really nice site looking at it. Different layout to the others who are all starting to look the same. Let's see how it develops when they need to charge and can't get enough exposure compared to the larger portals

The logo for my agency is slightly different for zoopla and that's the one they have on this site.
Question is, is the data scrapped or are zoopla feeding it? more importantly are zoopla selling the feed and making money off the back of our listings?
