'Live board revolution can generate leads for £1', says Agency Express boss

A QR code on a sales board can land agents multiple leads at around £1 each, says Agency Express managing director, Ben Brookes.

In an interview with Estate Agent Today's Lee Dahill, Ben outlines the advantages of adding interactive technology through QR codes to traditional board signage.

Ben says: “Since we launched these signs back in April, we’ve erected over 2000 QR code panels. This has led to over 18000 scans from potential purchasers.

“But probably the best stat I can give you is the best-scanned panel which provided 470 scans which was erected by our Cambridge operator for Savills. It’s a beautiful property and a fantastic board but, wow, 470 prospective purchasers – that’s impressive!

“We’ve erected 215 boards for one specific client. That’s created just over 1200 scans so the average is about five or six scans , but the highest for that client was 38. And if we equate that to net cost, that is just over a quid per scan.

“When I speak to an estate agent and ask what a lead is worth: fifty or sixty quid – something along those lines? This is generating leads for estate agents for a pound. So that really starts to push home the value of what we’re trying to do here.”

“A fairly large well-known brand adopted QR fairly early doors when agency QR was released, we've erected 215 panels for them that's created just over 1200 scans in that period so that average is about five six scans per panel. But the highest number of scans for that specific client on one panel was 38 and if we equate that down to net cost that is just over a quid per scan. So for each prospective purchaser, each name on their books, it's a quid. Now generally when I speak to estate agents and I say what's a lead worth to you 50, 60, 100 quid something along those lines? This is generating leads for those estate agents for a pound so that really starts to  push home the value of what we're trying to do here.”
