Weekend reading: The future’s digital – have you had your say?

As we outlined in our EAT and LAT stories earlier this week, we (Angels Media) are seeking responses from estate and letting agents about how you are coping with digital modernisation

Joining forces with leading technology organisation PropTechConsult – the brains behind the survey – the research aims to uncover how agents and others involved in the property industry are dealing with the digital and online revolution.

Who’s involved?

The survey, which will look to identify technology trends, anticipate new ones and build a wide-ranging picture of the industry and the effects digitalisation has had on it, is also being conducted through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), MIPIM and the British Property Federation.

What’s in it for you?

Once the results have been collated and assessed, it’s hoped that a clearer indication of the advantages and opportunities of digital transformation – and the key threats too – will become more apparent.

James Dearsley, a partner at PropTech Consult and our PropTech Today columnist, says the survey will help to “develop an understanding of how equipped the property industry feels about its ability to embrace digital transformation”.

How long does it take?

The survey takes around 10 to 12 minutes to complete and has been designed to pose questions that the property industry needs to start answering – to ensure we’re not left behind and adapt fully to an increasingly digital landscape.

Why do you need to take part?

We’re keen to get as many responses as possible to make the survey as representative of the property industry as it can be. The more responses that are received, the better the results will be.

With a bigger volume of data, more patterns will emerge and detailed analysis will be easier to achieve, to the benefit of everyone working in this sector – whether it be agents, PropTech start-ups or property management companies.

How can you get involved?

You can respond to the survey here. The MIPIM UK event taking place on October 18-19 at London Olympia – which describes itself as “the largest and most insightful property event for professionals with the most comprehensive conference programme in the real estate industry” – will reveal some of the initial results from the survey.

We’d like more responses to ensure the results are as wide-ranging as possible, so if you have a spare 10 minutes please add your thoughts to the pot.

Filling out this survey now could help to benefit your business in the future!
