I'm not sure of the science behind how long bacteria lays on the surface of what material or how a wipe with a duster can kill a potential virus. I find it hard to believe that the introduction of a Nanny into the household is less risky than an estate agent. My wife is a teacher who will be mixing with super carrier kids and without PPE in the next few weeks. It appear to be a complete raft of double standards to me. But hey, what do I know!

I'm sorry guys but even reading your comments, it shows clearly that everyone is interpreting the messages in their own way. Have we been told that we can visit empty properties? What about the reaction from the neighbours (Our Ice cream man got pelted with eggs for daring to venture near peoples properties - brand destruction for Mr Whippy). As I read it you can go back to work (to the office) if you have strict measures in place. However you can't visit properties to conduct MA's or viewings - period! So if you can work from home then work from home. Watch who's allowed to return next after cleaners and Nanny's. Butlers, chauffeurs, maids, gamekeepers. See the trend...??

They are a reactionary Government and so they will wait for the industry to say "Oi what about the housing market" enough times for the penny to drop. My bet is that they just haven't though about it. Very sad but I think true!

I'm working from home and I'm pushing the solicitors to move as far down the process towards exchange as they can. I'll push as far as I can then I'll leave it to others to decide whether they can safely continue or not. Nothing risky or pious about that. Just what the vendors and buyers would want us to do

Almost as if his main claim is how clever he is to find some ambiguity in the rules. There's a lot of ambiguity if you look for it mate! Just stick to the clear broad rules!

Nice try! All my clients (who switch to me) tell me that Traditional Agents don't do much of what the campaign says they do. I try to use solicitors that do their job so not to make vendors pay twice for us to chase solicitors that can't/won't communicate with their clients and other solicitors. Most clients are happy to conduct their own viewings and are very successful at showing people around. Still trying to pedal that illusion that somehow agents can persuade people to buy a property when the property 9/10 times sells itself. My hybrid model works. My average sale time is faster than most, my average post offer to completion period is faster than most and I can do it for a lot less than the ridiculous fees some agents are still charging. Totally agree with your argument against that type of online agent. However its good to watch you guys knock lumps out of each other
