You could put Alan Greenspan in charge and it wouldn't make one shred of difference, the Estate Agency and Property Management business model is fundamentally broken and the likes of Countrywide will end up having to shut hundreds of branches and lose hundreds of staff within the next year. Mostly of course thanks to the complete and utter fraud that is Purple Bricks etc that have driven fees down to an all time low, coupled with far less people moving house. I wonder when the PB Investors will ever get their money back !! The rest of it is just utter rubbish.

Most of us High Street agents thought about launching a Hybrid service 3 years ago. The problem is you can't differentiate the services and the fees you charge to make it work. I'm not closing my doors anytime soon. I say again to Purple Bricks and whoever else, be it online or Hybrid..... You can't make money and pay back your investors charging a nett fee of £500.00 to sell a house. End of. You're pockets simply aren't deep enough to take us on and wipe us off the High Street. What you succeeded in doing is untold damage to the business model and the industry and are solely responsible for putting thousands of people out of work with your greed fuelled ambition and flawed business model.

Biggest load of tosh I've ever read....... You could send a baboon round to do a take on at £850.00 plus Vat for a half million pound house and it would get the instruction, "Local Property Experts" don't make me laugh........... what sort of business plan is that ! So here's the PB strategy...... tear up the traditional business model, drive down fees for all agents with the hope that you'll close us all down and then PB rule the roost and quadruple their fees ! Deluded. It's never going to happen. PB investors must be getting pretty squeaky.........no returns coming your way anytime soon ladies and gents.

Not rocket science. Most of us thought of this 4 years ago ! Problem is how you differentiate the fees based on the services you provide. Well done to the new CEO of Countrywide...... next stop is close half of your 500 offices ! The fact is the traditional business model has been torn to shreds and the long and short of it is significantly less fees across the board. Sunday Times Property Section yesterday "The maximum you should pay an Estate Agent to sell your property is 1%" The only online agent with any legs in it is Purple Bricks, but they'll soon run out of cash to promote the brand and as for the investors..... you aren't going to see any return, anytime soon.
