Interesting, the Branch in Cheltenham has only listed a handful of local properties since it launched. It's first listing has already had a price reduction applied. Most it's stocked displayed in its window its located outside the county and offered to the Market by other branches. Looks like somebody has invested a huge amount of capital in Cheltenham but its yet to launch so say....

Its fixed cost base is now it's worst enemy... Shops,Bum's on seats, Buisness rates... Rolling out an online offering may help some clients save on their sale cost's but it's not going to help CW's profit / loss accounts

The 'High Street Agent' won't ever die, nor will 'Hybrid' or 'Online' fully take over the market. The best business's will blend all of it to become successful and offer the customer a service fit for purpose at the right price. Technology and accessibility will play a huge part in this but people buy from people so they can't be totally taken out the mix .

Being one of those Agent's written to by the Local authority regarding this matter and having recently launch the award winning EweMove Sales and Lettings in Cheltenham & Bishop's Cleeve i find this approach taken very refreshing. Its amazing how many properties in the borough have long standing boards saying sold, let buy, to let which never appear to change.

It truly is a massive saving going that way to sell, although i'm certain many owners of such premium properties won't have the time to conduct the viewings and host open days, let alone right the property description. Although it's a huge saving, i'd happily pay just slightly more just to get that extra level of VIP service which every customer deserves when it comes to selling any home no matter what the asking price is.
