Completely agree. I’m sure the figures are accurate but the interpretation of the data is miles wide of the mark. Any property that has no mortgage suitability will always sell for much less.

Well it was just an assumption and certainly not a dig or a display of bitterness. But I agree with other comments made regarding humility. I guess that’s where different people measure success in different ways. I wish you continued success and a fleet of Jaguars.

Assuming the car wasn’t bought in a straight cash deal, surely the financing of such a car would count against her when getting a mortgage. Thus meaning that any extra deposit that might have been acrrued is only making up for the shortfall in borrowing due to the car finance. This is worse than local journo news reporting.

Really? You believe that conducting viewings on properties is essential?!

An appalling article. To expect Boris Johnson to devote a portion of his briefing to the estate agency industry is to have an over inflated opinion on the importance of the estate agency profession in the context of a domestic crisis. The responsible thing to do, is to accept that trying to encourage the public to view a house over the next four weeks, is neither “essential“ or the right thing to do. Work from home, do your virtual viewings and set yourself up for a bumper December. Viewing a house is not essential.

There always going to be people who will be victims of the timing of such precautions. But I’d like to think that your NHS worker colleague above anyone else, would understand and appreciate the depth and seriousness of the issues we’re facing and the importance of carrying out these urgent measures. Also, if she is moving tomorrow, unless she’s homeless already, then she already has a roof over her head? So I’m not sure how she could become homeless when nobody else will be able to move into the property she is in! Cool heads are needed right now. Not ranting on a media platform!

I can imagine the morning meeting... Mortgage Advisor - “What about Mr Moellers offer?” Negotiator - “Cash buyer mate”...

What an odd article. Following a recent piece where Purplebricks former staff reveal misgivings within the company, a former staff member who hastily left after a dispute moves to defend the company. Then goes further by claiming Purplebricks are an “Amazing Concept” whilst adding that There is a “heavy reliance on Rightmove and Zoopla, and there’s little chasing or sales progression which can let sellers down. Negotiation over price goes out of the window and it’s undoubtedly the case that sellers doing their own deals won’t get the sale price that estate agents could get”. So this amazing concept is to throw every fundamental of estate agency out the window. Genius. I’m guessing the unnecessary turnover figures in this article were there to try and prove that this person isn’t a complete David Brent, but I’m not buying it.
