Jitty launches photo search tool

Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered property app Jitty has launched a new photo search tool for homes.

Users can now search through images of real homes by entering descriptive words – no filters needed.

For example, scrollers can find homes based on features they desire such as “art deco interiors” or “bath in bedroom.”

The tool, Inspiration AI, immediately scans through thousands of property photos, matching the description to real homes on the market.

Backed by Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund, Jitty uses LLM (large-language model) technologies, as well computer-vision, to read floor plans, and understand photos and descriptions of homes.

Because of this, Jitty said it has the ability to cross-reference information with publicly available databases such as estate agent websites and third-party services, to provide users with an exceptional level of detail.

Graham Paterson, chief executive of Jitty, said: “Inspiration AI isn’t just another feature – it’s a completely new way to search for homes online.

“It’s like having a personal property finder who listens to exactly what you want to see, and finds you homes with those features.

“Whether that’s sea views, church conversions, or bathroom inspiration, Inspiration AI will find those homes for you. It really is a magical experience, and we’re proud to be the first property website in the world to offer it. The future of home buying is here, and we’re just getting started.”
