Agents Giving: Reapit has been named as the headline sponsor of the annual industry Charity Ball organised by Agents Giving.

The gala ball is taking place this Summer on Friday 12 July 2024, returning to Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey and by popular demand will see the return of Agents Got Talent as well as the announcement of the Fundraising Champions of The Year Awards 2024.

Seven industry acts are already signed up for Agents Got Talent and if you would like to join the line-up, send in your audition videos NOW to be in with a chance to display your talents for this year’s show.

So, whether your talent is singing, dancing, music, comedy, magic, or a variety act now is your time to shine.

Simply send the Agents Giving talent team a clip of your talent and if successful you could showcase yourself in front of hundreds of your industry peers. Clips must be under two minutes long. Successful acts will be required to fundraise for Agents Giving.

Conveyancing Foundation: With National Conveyancing Week (11th – 15 March) just around the corner, the Conveyancing Foundation has launched its fundraising coffee morning.
On Wednesday 13 March and throughout the entire week, conveyancers are encouraged to open their doors and invite referrers, estate agents and brokers into the office to share information about the conveyancing process and foster greater collaboration.

Firms are invited to sign up on the Conveyancing Foundation website to receive their FREE fundraising pack! The physical or virtual fundraising packs are designed to equip hosts with everything necessary for a delightful coffee morning while making a difference for their chosen charity.

One of the exciting highlights of the Conveyancing Foundation's coffee morning initiative is the opportunity for participants to double their impact through match funding. Firms who fundraise on the coffee morning up to £500 for their preferred registered charity will have their generosity matched by the Conveyancing Foundation, effectively doubling the impact of their contribution.

Commenting on the initiative, Jess Smith, chief operating officer and trustee of the Conveyancing Foundation, said, "We're thrilled to support National Conveyancing Week with our collaborative coffee mornings and take the opportunity to help our industry to come together, enjoy a cuppa, and support causes close to their hearts.

“We believe that by harnessing the power of community and collaboration, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need."

Barratt David Wilson: Housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Southern Counties has raised a record £138,982 for hospice St Barnabas House, thanks to its fundraising efforts throughout 2023.

St Barnabas House, Barratt David Wilson Southern Counties’ charity of the year, has provided invaluable end of life care for patients and their families in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas for over 50 years.

Fundraising events, including a charity golf day, an evening gala and a sponsored South Coast Walk, contributed towards the amount raised by the local housebuilder – its largest charitable donation to date.

Barratt David Wilson Southern Counties has now announced it will work with men’s suicide prevention charity, Andy’s Man Club, as its charity of the year for 2024.

The organisation provides free support across the UK to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and to help men through the power of conversation with its campaign, #ITSOKAYTOTALK.

Hannah Seltzer, partnerships engagement manager at St Barnabas, said: “We are blown away by the support from Barratt David Wilson Homes. This is a record-breaking donation for St Barnabas House, and it is fantastic that it has been raised in just one year. We are so pleased to have worked together in this charity partnership and the team should be proud of their fundraising efforts and of the significant impact it will have on all the families we support.”

Over 560 people in the construction industry lost their lives to suicide last year and with additional funding, more centres can be opened to provide a lifeline for those in need. Barratt David Wilson Southern Counties is building a range of new homes across the South Coast and South East Counties, including Finchwood Park, Ecclesden Park, Ryebank Gate and Ersham Park.

Crest Nicholson: Local housebuilder Crest Nicholson’s Chiltern division recently hosted a charity ball in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer, raising £16,000 over the evening to help those fighting cancer, and their families.
Hundreds of people from across the housebuilding industry gathered at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Marlow on the 26 January for a black-tie event in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer. The event was hosted by comedian Paul Sinha.

Money was donated through raffles and a guest speaker Patience took to the stage to share her story about her son Jeremy, his cancer journey, and how Young Lives vs Cancer supported them throughout his treatment.

As a business, Crest Nicholson has now raised more than £100,000 for its charity partner, in addition to volunteering its time and expertise to support with hands-on projects, such as repair work to Young Lives’ Homes away from Home.

Charlie Joseph, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern, said: “Thank you to everyone who attended our charity ball and who contributed to the money raised via purchasing entry tickets, raffle tickets or making additional donations. The event was a huge success not only in the money raised but was a great way to raise awareness and for everyone to find out more about the impact the charity has on young people and their families.

“Looking ahead, we hope to build on our partnership with Young Lives through more sponsorships, events, challenges, and hands-on projects, in the hope that the charity can support even more young people and their families at what is an incredibly difficult time in their lives.”

Barratt Homes: Minster Surgery has recently received a £1,000 donation from local housebuilder Barratt Homes for its proposed new therapy garden.

The housebuilder will be launching its Roman Walk development in Minster later on in the year providing 133 homes.

The not-for-profit project, created by Minster Doctor’s Surgery, is the first proposed therapy garden in the Ramsgate area. It will centre around promoting wellbeing and improved quality of life for both vulnerable and isolated patients who belong to the surgery, as well as the wider community.

Minster Surgery is now calling for final donations amongst the community for their garden. The project has currently raised more than 90% of its funds so far, with Barratt Kent’s £1,000 donation aiding those strong efforts.

Natalie Perry, sales and marketing director for Barratt Kent, said: “Our healthcare services are a lifeline within our communities, whose mission is simply the bettering the lives of their patients, and the Minster Surgery’s new proposed therapy garden is a prime example of just that.

“Not-for-profit projects such as these are vital to our communities and can make the world of difference to patients’ health. We are so proud to aid the surgery’s selfless project and we are hoping the goal of £17,043 can be reached.”
