Flying start! Hybrid agency attracts 16 franchisees to travel brand

The Good Estate Agent has attracted 16 franchisees to its new travel brand, with almost half even combining it with their existing property business.

Rob Bryer, founder of the Good Estate Agent hybrid brand, launched the travel franchise last October.

He had already registered the thegoodtravelagent.co.uk domain name alongside thegoodestateagent.co.uk back in 2011.

Some of the franchisees are now running both estate agency and travel businesses and the brand is aiming to recruit a further 20 within the next six months.

Franchisees can book products online, including packages, flights, accommodation, attraction tickets and car hire through a central booking website.

The franchisees earn commission on all bookings made by their customers via the site.

The Good Travel Franchise has pledged to contribute 10% of its profits to green initiatives, aimed at offsetting the carbon emissions produced by the industry, reflecting the company's dedication to making travel not just enjoyable but also sustainable.

Its chief executive and co-founder Jake Cullum-Hollins, also a homeworker with The Good Estate Agent franchise,  said: “This is a fantastic additional tool for the franchisees.

“They usually speak to customers over the phone but some want to book online for convenience.

“This website gives another avenue and customer touch-point, while making sure there is one point of contact with the agent. Imagine waking up in the morning and finding out that customers have booked a holiday on your website and you've earned money while sleeping.”
