Agents set for ‘Christmas lead bonus’ if they keep marketing

Agents are being urged to keep marketing throughout the festive season.

The ValPal Network (TVPN) suggests the market is set for a “Christmas bonus” due to pent up demand as inflation slows.

Its analysis suggests that 80,000 leads will be generated during the month – 20,000 of them between 22 and 31 December.

Lead levels dip slightly on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but pick up drastically from Boxing Day and rise steadily until they peak during the second week in January, TVPN said.

Over the past three years, more than 4,000 leads were generated on Boxing Day alone and in 2022 they rose by 38% on the preceding year.

Craig Vile, director of TVPN, said: ”2022 blew the lead levels out of the water compared to previous years.

“If we look at prior months this year compared to last year, perhaps we can’t expect as big an increase but there’s a huge amount of pent-up demand out there and our numbers tell us that sellers start thinking about pastures new before the stores open for the Boxing Day Sales!”

“Lead levels double on Boxing Day and continue to rise until New Years Eve and reach a peak during the second week of January.

“The idea that no-one thinks about moving house over the Christmas Season is simply not true – our data shows that year after year.”

TVPN’s research estimates that almost one in five leads will likely convert in the New Year, plus if agents start running Facebook ads now, they can build up a pipeline of active sellers for 2024 as 17.31% instruct despite being “top of funnel” leads.

Vile added: “It’s vital that agents keep their marketing plans in top gear right through December and into the New Year so they can take advantage of the leads that will be generated.

“There’s a Christmas bonus on offer for those agents who are savvy enough to make the most of the opportunity.

“Yes, it’s been tougher this year but the general outlook is a bit brighter now and the business opportunity will be there before the turkey bones hit the bin,” he said.

“That’s why we’ve been making radical improvements to ValPal – to make it easier for members to make the most of every lead that comes their way.”
