“New era” for high end agency as new head of sales revealed

Prime estate agent John D Wood & Co has named a new Head of Sales and claims this marks “a new era” for the brand.

In his new role as Head of Sales, James Waight will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business’ sales operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, and leading a dynamic team.

RICS-member Waight joined the business over 11 years ago in the Fulham Broadway office and what the firm calls “his unwavering dedication and exceptional acumen” soon propelled him through the ranks to the position of Regional Director, overseeing the central London sales offices.

A statement from the company says he has “consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, a deep understanding of the property industry, all with a keen ability to build strong relationships with both valued clients and colleagues.”

And it says his accomplishments include growing the business’s market share, overseeing the digital transformation of core business functions and optimising internal training and operational processes. “These projects have played a pivotal role in the company's continued success” says the statement.

Polly Ogden Duffy, managing director, says: "Jimmy’s values and ambition are a perfect pairing with the strategy and direction of John D Wood & Co. In this business our people are our priority, as well as ensuring our service levels are delivered with distinction. Jimmy embodies the values of the John D Wood & Co. brand so I am delighted to hand the reigns of the sales business to him."

And Waight himself adds: "I am honoured and excited to take on this new challenge as Head of Sales at John D Wood & Co. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues and the trust that the company has placed in me to be a custodian of this historic business. I look forward to leading our talented sales team to even greater achievements."
