Chestertons chief executive steps down

Chestertons chief executive Guy Gittins has stepped down with immediate effect.

Gittins has been chief executive of the high-end London agency brand since 2018 but had joined as sales director in 2012.

No reason was given for his departure expect that he is pursuing a new challenge.

Chestertons has appointed with immediate effect Richard Davies, its long-serving head of lettings, as interim managing director until a permanent replacement for Guy is found.

Salah Mussa, chairman of Chestertons said: “Guy has worked for Chestertons for 10 years, the last four of which he has been CEO.

“In that time he has helped transform Chestertons from a business with great potential into a business that has been able to realise that potential and is now leading the field.

“Guy’s energy, knowledge and passion will be missed but he is leaving the business in the best shape it has ever been and we wish him all the best for his next move.”

From a superstar to a superslug. A shame for a superb business.
