Party time? Boris Johnson's brother to address estate agents

The coming annual conference of Fine & Country, being held next month, is to have Boris Johnson’s brother as a keynote speaker.

In a coy announcement by the agency, Leo Johnson is not described as the Prime Minister’s brother but is instead called a Radio 4 co-presenter.

In fact the co-hosts the BBC radio show Future Proofing, which explores the big ideas and innovations reshaping business and society.

In addition this member of the Johnson clan has a vast string of other activities according to the Fine & Country announcement.

He is co-founder of Sustainable Finance which advises over 50 global banks and businesses and he is the author of risk and business books as well as a Fellow at Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise, and a lecturer at the LSE and the Cambridge Programme for Industry.

F&C says he will be “pinpointing trends, from climate change to increased regulation and threats to corporate reputation and then laying out both the risks and the opportunities for business and finance.”

Simon Leadbetter, global chief executive of Fine & Country, says: “We are genuinely delighted to have Leo Johnson as our headline speaker at the Fine & Country conference this year. He has dedicated his life to environmental sustainability, which is something we as a brand are very passionate about.”

“We look forward to his contribution to a day of thought-provoking content, demonstrating how you can grow market share and increase revenue whilst remaining informed and responsible.

“It will be interesting to hear what he has to share with regard to future proofing our business and bringing into light the key areas that we should be focusing on to make our business more sustainable.”

Why someone would think a relative of Bojo is a sensible choice for a non-partisan conference is beyond me.
