Harding Green welcomes second franchisee as its targets three more

Harding Green has welcomed its second franchisee.

Benjamin Scrace, who joined the broker model estate agency Harding Green in July as a consultant, has now signed a franchise agreement for the Belgravia, Pimlico and Westminster territories.

It joins its existing St John’s Wood franchise and there are plans to open another three over the next eighteen months and expand Harding Green’s team of agents to 50.

As the second franchisee for Harding Green, Scrace has been a resident in the area for 30 years and brings with him a wealth of local knowledge and business acumen.

With a background in real estate, investment banking and interior design that spans seventeen years, his career accolades include luxury broker Nest Seekers International and more than seven years at Barclays Investment Bank, alongside a degree in Economics, Finance and Management obtained at Bocconi University in Milan.

Since joining Harding Green, he has helped secure more than £4.2m in agreed sales and £40,000 in monthly rentals in his first four months.

Key highlights include securing a long-term tenant he acted for on a £5,000 plus a week apartment at Chelsea Barracks and a buyer for a £3m home in Pimlico.

He has now begun a recruitment drive to expand his team and plans to open an office next year in South Belgravia where he will be selling prime homes for sale and rent, as well as offering a buying agency service for clients.

He said: “I am very excited to be the next franchisee at Harding Green.

“The model is hugely attractive for me, offering an opportunity to work on a self-employed basis which has enhanced my lifestyle, whilst supported with state-of-the-art technology, a bespoke marketing and PR offering and unrivalled back office support.

“The experience of the team is phenomenal, which combined allows us all to provide such an improved offering to our clients. The new St John’s Wood office is going from strength to strength throughout north west London, and this is the natural next step in both my own and Harding Green’s long-term growth plans.”

Harding Green founder Nick Carter, added: “We are delighted to welcome Ben as our second Franchise business owner. In just four months he has already exceeded expectations, and this is the natural progression for top performers like him who want to physically own their own business, build equity and recruit a team.

“As a true local with extensive experience, Ben has all the necessary attributes to make it happen. We know the only way to create a successful long-term business is to pass on equity to individuals who would be instrumental in the running and scaling of our brand, which is providing many benefits for them. The advantage for us as the franchisor, is the security of having multiple like-minded business partners in many of the prime locations across the country to open offices, grow teams and offer the self-employed broker model."
