Agent safety: New poll asks how safe you feel at work

Agents are being asked to complete a survey as part of a national newspaper’s investigation into the safety of property professionals in the sector.

It comes after the still-unsolved disappearance of estate agent Suzy Lamplugh, who was declared dead in absentia almost 30 years ago.

The Daily Mail is working on a piece about estate agent safety and will include responses to an industry survey.

The poll is being distributed by Charlotte Dale, of Allan Fuller Estate Agents, which is based in the same area where Lamplugh disappeared.

Responses to the poll are anonymous and it includes questions on awareness of the Lamplugh case and how safe agents feel at work.

Dale said: “I have put together an anonymous survey which I am hoping will give an idea of how safe estate agents, particularly female estate agents, feel going on viewings in light of recent tragic cases such as Sabina Nessa and Sarah Everard.

“These were obviously not linked to estate agency but certainly made women reflect on their personal safety in all aspects of their lives.”
