Regional agent marks apprentice milestone

Sussex-based estate and lettings agency Mishon Mackay is celebrating as its first apprentice has completed his training.

Max Blencowe, the first apprentice hired by the agency, has successfully completed the apprenticeship scheme, and become a permanent member of the team.

He joined Mishon Mackay in 2021 after finishing his studies at BHASVIC Sixth Form College in Hove and has been promoted to the role of sales negotiator since completing his apprenticeship.

Blencowe said: “I have always had an interest in property and when this opportunity came around, it felt like the perfect fit. I love getting the chance to see unique, lovely properties and the satisfaction of matching a buyer to their dream home is my favourite part of the job.”

Looking ahead to the future of the property market, Blencowe believes that social media will become key in both buying and selling a property.

He said: “I think having a big presence on social media is going to be a massive part of property in years to come as, especially for the younger generations, social media is a massive part of their lives.

“Sellers will want to see their properties published by agents who are active on social media, as it is an extra platform to be able to show off a property.”

Alex Mackay, co-founder at Mishon Mackay, added: “I’d like to congratulate Max on not only completing his apprenticeship, but also on his recent promotion.

“Max is an asset to our team, and I look forward to watching him go from strength to strength as his career progresses.

“At Mishon Mackay we take time to invest in the next generation, offering an extensive training programme to not only support those on their first steps in the world of property, but also to keep our business heading in the right direction with the best leadership and continuity.”
