Lord Sebastian Coe is to be the keynote speaker at the Fine & Country annual conference in February.
Known most recently for leading the successful bid for London to secure the 2012 Olympic Games, Coe is himself a former leading athlete - he won four Olympic medals, two of them gold - and then became a Conservative MP in the 1990s.
Since 2015 he has been president of the International Association of Athletic Federations.
Fine & Country says that as an expert in handling risk and uncertainty and managing large scale teams, Coe is the ideal keynote speaker to impart his wisdom on leadership, strategy and resilience “especially in our current tremulant political environment we find ourselves in.”
David Lindsey, Fine & Country chief executive, adds: “Our theme for the conference is Vision, so what better speaker than Lord Coe who has found success by leading from the front and making visions a reality in both his athletic and political careers ... [his] belief in creating a clear strong vision for an organisation echoes our own, and we are excited about what he has to share with our delegates.”
The conference is on February 13 at London’s QEII centre in Westminster.
