William H Brown, part of the Sequence UK network, has acquired Barnfields estate agents in Enfield, north London.
Barnfields was an independent family owned and run business based in the centre of Enfield and established nearly 40 years ago by brothers Keith and Malcolm Barnfield.
A statement from Sequence says Barnfields had been widely regarded as the leading independent in its local area.
It will now be known as ‘Barnfields in association with William H Brown’ and with Malcolm Barnfield in charge.
Jonathan Weedon, senior area director at William H Brown, describes the deal as “a terrific acquisition for the company” which will complement other branches around the A10 corridor.
The purchase forms part of a wider initiative by William H Brown's parent company Sequence UK Ltd to expand and invest where the right opportunities exist.
Now William H Brown says it wants other local estate agency businesses to get in touch and discuss possibilities for acquisition.
