Hybrid estate agency eMoov has announced a new hire as chief operating officer with the remit of driving growth.
Guy Halfhead has previously worked at international tech company Sword before working with KickApps and most recently, Bookatable, Europe’s largest marketplace for restaurant bookings, which was acquired by Michelin in December 2016.
His role as COO is, according to the company, “driving profitable revenue growth whilst maintaining the company’s best in class levels of customer service as the business continues to rapidly scale.”
His experience lies in designing and systemising core operational processes to enable disruptive technology companies to grow in dynamic markets.
“Bringing Guy on board is about investing even further in a team of the smartest and most experienced people to take the eMoov business to the very top of consumer choice when selling or buying a home” says chief executive Russell Quirk.
“The overall estate agency process in this country needs to greatly improve and Guy joins an increasingly accomplished selection of professionals that are truly leading that transformation” he adds.
Halfhead himself says the traditional agency model is broken “with an abundance of examples of exorbitant fees and terrible customer service.”
