Another online agency seeks crowd funding cash

A Yorkshire-based online estate agency has launched a crowdfunding campaign to pay for its new marketing plans.

MyHouseAdvert.co.uk, formed in 2011, says it has so far sold over 850 properties across the country worth more than £150m. The crowdfunding request is for £100,000 of investment in return for a 10 per cent equity stake.

The funds will be used to fund a marketing and advertising drive to further raise the profile of the business.

MyHouseAdvert.co.uk claims to be the only pay-monthly nationwide agency, offering sellers what it calls a full estate agency service for £69.95 a month, reducing to just £39.95 after three months, with no commission on sale.

The fees charged include a listing on all the leading property websites including Rightmove, Zoopla and Primelocation. The agency does not use sole agency contracts so vendors can use traditional agents at the same time.

“Users can just test out the market for a month with no commitment, pay monthly or through a one-off fee of £369.95 for nine months service” says website founder Adam Sutherland.
