A major expansion of Spicerhaart’s Land and New Homes division is planned, with a new managing director in place.

The number of offices will more than double, and up to 30 additional jobs are to be created.

Peter Krelle joins Spicerhaart from Countrywide, where he was managing director of Land and New Homes Countrywide.

He said: “When I first started in a dedicated new homes role, I increased my region’s turnover by some 50% in the first year and by the same amount in the second – not bad, as it was already the top-performing region in the UK when I inherited it! That’s why I’m confident I can replicate this type of success at Spicerhaart.”

Krelle said Spicerhaart’s management structure helped to lure him away from his previous employers, for whom he had effectively worked for nearly ten years, having come to Countrywide through their acquisition of the former Bradford & Bingley agency chain.

He said: “I was attracted by the fact that I only have to report to the CEO and the group MD. This speeds up the decision-making process and heavily reduces the chance of missing a decent business opportunity.

“I was also impressed by the company’s investment in IT and technology, particularly the Buzz call centre which will provide new homes sites with inquiry coverage up until 10pm. That’s something no other company offers.

“New offices have just been set up in Guildford and Cobham in Surrey and I have others planned for Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Bristol and Cardiff, amongst other locations I am currently considering.

“The new planned operations will fit extremely well with our current area offices based in Sheffield, Milton Keynes, Colchester in Essex, Ruislip in Middlesex and Shad Thames in London.”
