Interview of Dev Malle
Written by the Estate Agent Today team
Dev Malle, Chief Business Development Officer at Simplify

Who are you and what does it say on your business card?

As Chief Business Development Officer I am responsible for Simplify’s existing relationships and winning and developing new business opportunities

What is Simplify and what does it do?

Simplify is the UK’s largest conveyancing services provider and includes 6 of the UK’s leading and largest conveyancing firms, a panel management business and 2 leading property management companies. We are proud to have nearly 2,000 fabulous people in our team.

What makes your product different and how does it benefit agents?

We have worked hard to give agents the choice that fits their business model and acting as an extension of their business, combing digital solutions with that all-important human touch. We lead the way in conveyancing selling (for the agent), conveyancing panel management and conveyancing delivery; and through our leading eWay solution we set the digital standards for the industry. But watch this space as there is more to come so our agents can rely on us to relieve some of their pain points.

What is the most satisfying part of your job?

Of course I love working with our people and business partners and delivering the best solutions to the customer, but the energy I get from sailing through a new record or another challenging target is still incredible.

What is your property prediction for the remainder of 2021?

After two stamp duty holidays and despite underlying strong demand, we will see a clear dampening in volume driven heavily by lack of new listings. This means it is even more important to us to support our partners to ensure we maximise conversion rates and revenue levels through our unique offering, to help them grow their business.

What is your favourite room in your home?

Definitely the Kitchen as I love to cook, eat and have the ‘occasional’ beer and glass of wine
