  • What does a Product Director do?

I love my job because it provides variety and allows me to draw upon 30 years of working in the property sector. Put simply, my role is to make mio the best sales progression platform for estate agents and the wider market. I’d argue that its already the best, but great technology never stands still.

I get to work and consult with customers, internal colleagues across and other suppliers to understand how collaboration can complement what mio provides and how it can add value for everyone. I’m blessed with a great development team, so I have to prioritise a technical roadmap that supports the short, medium and long term goals of mio.

  • How is mio different to CRM sales progression tools?

This is just a 60 second interview right!

It removes duplication joining up agents across a single chain view and uses validated 3rd party data feeds from other professions involved in the process. Net result- milestones can get automatically updated across a chain which puts less burden on agents and makes it easier to manage their pipeline. Currently 35% of properties in mio benefit from a level of automated updates.

  • What’s your number one piece of advice to agents?

Make your business customer centric. It's very easy to fall into the trap of ignoring the whole end to end customer journey when you are busy with new enquiries. Your customer journey represents your brand and a strong brand reputation will generate new business in itself.

  • How do you spend your free time?

I like to keep fit and challenge myself, so you’ll often find me of a weekend either swimming, biking or running, or all three. My triathlons and cycle sportives have all been cancelled this year due to COVID but right now I’m training for a 10km openwater swim in late September.
