What is your elevator pitch?

Easymatch is the secret weapon in our clients' victories over the competition. It’s the Magic Potion that propels great estate agents into market leaders.

 

What is your property prediction for 2016?

For 2016, it will be remembered as the year the internet really began to change the industry, in favour of independent agents, at the expense of the corporates, as technology levelled the playing field and allowed quality independents to confront mediocre corporates with a shiny brand but no substance head on.

 

How do you feel the internet has changed the role of a traditional high street agent?

It hasn’t changed their role at all. Their role is still to get the best price in the shortest time for their clients, using their local expertise to do so. The internet will never change that role.

 

What is the most satisfying part of your job?

Watching our clients exceed their own targets because they chose Easymatch. The genuine shock when they tell us “we really didn’t realise how powerful it was to begin with” is always very rewarding.

 

Zoopla or Rightmove?

Both, as long as each is generating sufficient leads to justify its cost.

 

House or apartment?

It was apartment, but now I’m a dad, it’s a house.

 

City or countryside?

Too long in either and I go mad, so it’s both. I love both, for a while, then I need a change!

 

Rent or buy?

It depends. Buy a flat, rent a house.

 

Completion or instruction?

Instruction, because it’s a harder battle to win than completing on a sale once you’ve won the instruction.

Better use of technology, and prioritising high value functions over administration functions.

 

How do you create value for your clients (how do you go above the call of duty)?

We never fail to deliver and have the most reliable product on the market.

 

What is your greatest achievement and what made it so special?

Being the first software company to offer a comprehensive online viewing booking system which checks the negotiator’s and property’s diaries before offering the applicant a viewing slot. It’s special because it makes a real, tangible difference both to our clients, and theirs in turn. We’re helping people in the real world.

 

What do you feel it takes to be successful in the industry? 

Understanding the mystical thing that is estate agency.
