The autumn sales and lettings markets is in full swing but plenty of agents are still doing good works in the name of charity.

We at EAT and LAT hugely admire the often-unsung work by agents who donate energy, time and money to charity. We want to shine a spotlight on this side of agency.

If you want to be mentioned, please let us know. Email press@estateagenttoday.co.uk.

In the meantime, here are this week's updates...including one from our good selves...

Angels Media: Yes, the publishers of Estate Agent Today are not immune from feeling generous sometimes and helping those who cannot help themselves.

We've taken part in Jeans for Genes - a day when we all turned up in jeans to raise money for children with genetic disorders. And we had a second bite at charity fund-raising (literally) when we held a variation on the MacMillan Coffee Morning idea - and in true gutsy Angels style, we had a full-blown lunch including chilli con-carne, smoked salmon frittata and lots more, followed by chocolate cake, pear cake and Oreo brownies. All this was organised by our brilliant sales and support manager Sharon Clark for MacmIllan Cancer Support. We've raised about £300 in total for both charities.

Marie Curie Cancer Care: The iam-sold agency invited partner agents and local businesses from across the country to join a charity golf day at the prestigious De Vere Slaley Hall golf course in Hexham. Seventy players across 17 teams took part and had a fantastic day raising an admirable £2,600 towards Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Alex Stevenson from George F White took part in the event and won the Longest Drive competition. It was a great turn out for a fantastic cause and a day thoroughly enjoyed by all involved. From the bacon rolls on arrival to the presentation at the end, iam-sold deserve a huge amount of credit for such a well organised and successful event. It was perfect golf weather and winning the Longest Drive capped off a great day out he says.

The charity committee at iam-sold has already began arranging the next charity event; a Halloween Party at the Jesmond Cricket Club, Newcastle upon Tyne. More details on www.justgiving.co.uk/iam-Halloween.

MacMillan Cancer Support: Home Counties estate agency Keats has raised just under £250 outside its Haslemere branch with the main attraction being the Keats Christmas House Cake,' made by Keats' very own Fay Godfree and raffled at £1 a ticket. There is another fund-raising event - a coffee morning at the agent's Liphook branch - with donations going to the local Macmillan Cancer Support Centre in Midhurst.

Keats director Adrian Hardwick says many generous members of the public donated without actually buying anything, a sign that Macmillan is a big part of many people's lives and so I am delighted that we have been able to show our thanks.

The Rainbow Trust: This is a charity for terminally ill children, providing support workers to join families in their home and provide any support they need. They may attend the doctors appointments, be bedside of the child to give the parents a break and they can also take siblings out to take their mind of things.

London agent Henry & James is sponsoring a fund-raising hike in support of this great cause. Want to donate Then look here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.actionuserUrl=rainbowtrust4&isTeam=true

MacMillan Cancer Support: VTUK's technical director Darren Rockett has bravely announced that he will be sober for October! Why not join him "Cancer is a disease which has impacted my life, my close family and friends and millions of others. It now accounts for more than one in four of all deaths in the UK. As I am sure those close to me will testify - I like a drink, so going dry for the whole of October is going to be a significant challenge. Please donate what you can, Macmillan is a wonderful charity and it all helps."
