Congratulations yet again to the wonder-women of Woods in the west country, for raising over £10,000 via their annual charity ball.
The money is going to Macmillan, the local community care team at Torbay Hospital, and Help for Heroes.
Each year, Sarah Thomas, office manager at the Newton Abbot branch of Wood’s Estate Agents & Auctioneers, jointly organises the ball with Joyce Sharpe.
Sarah said: “Each year the balls have got better and better, selling out each time, and this year we are thrilled with the fact that this is the most successful yet.”
Joyce and Sarah are already arranging next year’s event.
We think they are a wonderful advertisement for estate agents everywhere, and that their achievement is particularly remarkable, given that Woods are an independent, six-branch operation and not a corporate.
