Eric Walker has revealed plans to expand franchise chain Northwood to 100 offices.

The firm, founded in 1995, currently has 80 offices and was run by the late Nick Cooper. Although primarily a lettings business, it does do some sales.

Walker has also revealed that Cooper, who died of pancreatic cancer in August, asked him to take over at the helm of Northwood ‘over a beer’. And he says that his bosses at Your Move, where he had worked only since February this year, were sympathetic about his departure.

In today’s wide-ranging interview, Walker says why he supports the industry bodies and why he thinks SAFEagent is so important.

The interview, the first that Walker has given since becoming managing director of Northwood last month, is in our blog section.
