New TV advert-style films have been launched, allowing agents to promote individual properties online with the emphasis all about lifestyle.

The adverts are about 20 seconds long and are very similar to those seen in TV commercials, with music and professional voice-overs.

The films use a series of still images supplied by agents that are built into a tour and turned into adverts by the company, AudioTours, within 48 hours.

Managing director Ben Quiney said the idea behind them is to whet viewers’ appetites and to keep them longer on agents’ own websites. The films, which can also be uploaded to the major portals, are all searchable.

Quiney said: “The product has been over two years in development, and we have listened to what agents wanted. They are very simple to set up and we think they represent incredible value to agents and vendors. We’ve deliberately kept each advert short – anything longer than 20 seconds and people get bored.”

Prices are from around £50 per advert. You can see samples on www.audioagent.net/property1.php and www.audioagent.net/property2.php

“In an industry where unique selling points are hard to find we have found Audio Agent has given us the edge over our competition. It has secured us instructions that have already resulted in valuable income and has increased the level of enquiries received from rightmove”.

Surely any form of marketing that is cost effective and attracts more buyers to our websites and more sellers to our door is a good thing. Listings are becoming increasingly hard to come by and if a seller wants all the latest tools used we have to have everything available for them.

Actually, these over priced ingots of scrap also rely on agents actually taking a decent photo, because otherwise you may as well not bother, not that you should bother anyway because now reflecting on the content it's doing nothing for the end user. Anyone who says it does in any way shape or form should consider themselves a relic of estate agency, in which case they should go for it. It new wave. Apparently there are such things colour television now. I bet that looks good.
