Analysis of the UK estate agency elite purely by the value of their sales listings has shown nuggets of gold. Or, since we are almost certainly talking super-rich buyers here, Russian roubles.
The survey, by property search engine and portal home.co.uk, shows one London agency, Mercer Pasqua, with an average asking price of over £5.75 million. The average asking price in the top 20 offices is a jaw-dropping £4.33m – somewhat ahead of the average UK price of around £170,000.
Altogether the top agencies, all in London, have listings valued at asking prices of over £3.2bn, with potenial fee income running into the millions.
The survey has also revealed the indisputable domination of Knight Frank, who run six out of the top 20 branches.
Oh well, it’s nice in these beleagured times to think that there are some buyers who don’t have to worry their elite heads about something as dull as the credit crunch.
