Ruth Lilley, one of the most senior figures at NFoPP, has left the organisation.

She was previously in charge of education and training at the NAEA, but then promoted to NFoPP’s head of business development.

Staff were told of her departure shortly before she quit last Thursday.

Peter Bolton King, NFoPP’s chief executive, said: “I can confirm that Ruth has elected, for personal reasons, to take voluntary redundancy. This is not part of a cost-cutting exercise nor part of any redundancy plan within the organisation.”

Now I can see why the last statement rings true, but nobody would have put their head above the parapet to say so.

Maybe she couldn't or wouldn't make the tea. That fits PBK statement?

Why not? Most people / firms are!

There are more sinking ships than Pearl Harbour, apparently one industry supplier has been badly holed beneath the waterline by another who decided they were fed up with being rogered.

It sounds like a cover up. If there is no cost sutting excercise redundancy shouldn't be offered as it implies a redundancy payment, which wouldn't be made if someone resigns for personal reasons.

The journalist should have researched this further, if we can see it doesn't make sense they should too.

Ruth was one of the NAEA's best assets, I'm please for her sake she's getting out as the NAEA has so lost its way and is alienating its own members with their licensing and member firms fiasco.

Best wishes Ruth with what you do next and thanks for al the years you helped to train estate agents!

Slightly strange? Redundancy; voluntary or compulsory isn't a stardard exit for someone who wants to resign for personal reasons.

Sounds like a compromise agreement to me.

Ruth - good luck for the future - and thank you for being there!

I am just glad that your departure has nothing to do with your constant chasing me for my CPD hours, all those years ago!!

Many others would have given up... ;o)
