The RICS is to sell off a number of valuable books from its library.

They include a set of 18th century atlases of Great Britain, estimated at £30,000 to £40,000, and a first edition of Samuel Johnson’s dictionary, estimated at £4,000 to £6,000.

The books are being sold at auction on October 20 by Bloomsbury Auctions.

EAT has always thought it must be nice to find a few heirlooms knocking around in the attic and we wonder whether the NAEA has discovered any unwanted family silver.
