A new UK property search engine, gartoo, has launched with a so-called ‘semantic search’ functionality.

It allows users to key in text queries (for example, “easy access Heathrow and Gatwick” or “in need of renovation Kent”) rather than using drop-down filter menus.

Gartoo is a sister website to existing property search engine nestoria and has access to property listings from the main portals.

However, when EAT tried the site, it produced properties that had been sold, although some still appeared as live listings.

It seems very risky for a site to be scraping properties from other protals? Surely this will not last very long.
