Estate agency boards firm Kremer Signs has put in place a 24/7 operation, after recruiting extra staff and investing in new printing machines.

The five new recruits have had to undergo a six-week training course, while the new digital printing machines have been a hefty cost but allow eight boards with different designs to be printed at once, to reduce turnaround times.

Sales manager Gary Gosney said: “Five or six years ago, we were as busy as we are now, but our lead times were eight weeks, which we knew was not acceptable.”

He said it had been a risk to commit to such an investment during difficult times for the property market, but said that the firm has been producing over 6,000 boards per week for the past six weeks.

He added: “In the first six months of this year, we have picked up 116 new estate or letting agents, with a combined total of 162 offices, mainly due to our ability to produce high-quality boards quickly.”

Hi Lilly the Pink, just to confirm all signage is mad in house throughout our factories. You signs are our business and we pride ourselves on the quality, so to risk outsourcing would be a bad move.
