There is nothing usually too odd about a three-bed semi being advertised on Rightmove.

The owners are what you might call motivated sellers, as they certainly have a need to move on.

But in this case, there are some unusual features: the home is in need of modernisation and is open plan. It also has some exotic neighbours. On the plus side, there’s a concierge service, and its own private island.

The Rightmove listing is part of a campaign, which is also supported by Kremer Signs, to help a gorilla conservation project at Bristol Zoo.

Rightmove director Miles Shipside said: “We’ve had a range of interesting properties listed on Rightmove over the years but this one must be king of the jungle when it comes to the strangest.

"In many ways it is not too dissimilar to the million or so properties we have on our site at any one time and highlights some desirable features such as large outdoor space, water features and Grade Two listed status.

“Being on Rightmove helps thousands of sellers every year and we’re hopeful that listing the gorillas’ house on our site will raise awareness for their home moving plans.”

As part of the campaign, Rightmove and Bristol Zoo have launched a video, imagining what it would be like for an estate agent to take on the sale of the gorillas’ home.
