Zoopla has had problems putting up new listings since before the weekend, the site said yesterday afternoon.

A post on EAT said of the problem: “Anybody noticed that Zoopla has not added a property to their listings since 8 Feb? Rightmove etc have all posted new listings within the past 24 hours but for Zoopla nothing has come up for sale or rent anywhere in the UK since last Thursday.

“Maybe there is a technical problem with their website. I contacted their customer care people about this several times but received no comment. It's frustrating if you are trying to buy property.”

A Zoopla spokesman told EAT: “We have been conducting some overdue essential maintenance since Friday and the site is now being updated and we expect will be back up to date over the coming hours.

“This maintenance only affects a very small percentage of our more than one million listings, i.e. new listings since Friday.”

    We use automatic upload so wouldn't have seen it. We check our listings on Rightmove but infrequently on Zoopla. We will get a complaint from a client if Rightmove is wrong (almost instantly!) never yet had a complaint about a Zoopla listing being wrong because people just don't bother to look at it.

    @PropertyGal:

    If you used manual upload, they had a banner notice at the top of the load page - appeared Fri am I think

    The very vast majority of Agents do not bother to trawl through either Rightmove or Zoopla (or any other portal to check their listings) usually it is the vendor who notices their property isn't on the interweb that brings this stuff to Agent's attention.

    It isn't surprising that Zoopla have such issues, trying to merge 4 or 5 legacy uploads into one platform is hard enough but when there are multiple departments that don't talk to each other, things become chaotic.

    In the words of Graham Norton 'Who knew!' And actually who cared?

    Essential maintenance - that was overdue - anybody know a better time 6 weeks ago to have done that? Shoddy.

    How funny that an article about how Zoopla isn't displaying new listings has received hardly any interest or feedback from agents.......now if it was Rightmove, I'm sure it would be a different story.

    Probably because no one uses the site, no one noticed in the first place.......and how bad of Zoopla to not let agents know of the problem as they knew the kickback they would get.

    " How about selling some houses instead?"

    Quite!

    If some of the agents spent less time whinging & griping on this site and more time actually selling........
