Estate agent Mike Blundell has joined the board of league one football club Sheffield United.

Founder of Blundells Estate Agency, which became part of Countrywide in July, Blundell has invested in the club where he will work closely with chairman Chris Steer, owner Kevin McCabe and director Scott McCabe.

Blundell has supported the club since boyhood.

He founded Blundells in 1977 and over the last three decades the company has grown from a one-man band to Sheffield and north Derbyshire’s largest estate agency with 14 offices and more than 150 employees.

Countrywide’s acquisition of Blundells this summer was for an undisclosed sum.

Great firm, hope you got a packet Mr Blundell, do not worry what mess Countrywide create now. Think you may find EA easier than to wake United!
