The Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) is launching a new range of insurance services to help restore confidence to the overseas property market, while EAT can announce a brand new international offering.

Mark Sharp, chief executive of AIPP, said the new insurances were designed to restore confidence. He said: “The difficulties of the last few years and the unscrupulous activity of a minority of rogue companies have stopped many people from buying overseas. Our new range of insurance services helps overcome many of their concerns.”

The AIPP has teamed up with Kinnell Corporate to offer insurance services, which address specific issues such as land title and build quality, for UK companies in the overseas property industry as well as consumers.

Sharp said: “By offering insurances which deliver peace of mind either within the purchase price or as an optional extra, companies are saying very clearly that they are aiming to safeguard their clients from the major problems previously attached to buying property abroad.”

The range of AIPP insurances to be launched includes title insurance, latent defects, professional indemnity insurance and owner’s liability insurance.

Meanwhile, EAT can announce that we’ve gone global!

A new sister e-newsletter has launched covering the overseas property market from the perspective of UK agents working in the sector.
