A total of 157 property auction sales were held in October, offering 3,306 lots.
Of these, 2,350 were sold, a success rate of 71.1%.
The success rate shows a slight fall on last year, which auction monitor Essential Information Group attributes to a major London auction house holding its usual autumn sale on November 1 this year rather than in October.
