Calling all Scottish agents who have been inspired by Sir Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins – you are needed to take part in the Zoopla British Property cycle ride.

The intention of this charity event, which is aiming to raise £100,000 for the Estate Agency Foundation, is to maximise participation across the property industry, from estate and letting agents to lenders and surveyors, from new home builders to industry suppliers.

The organisers tell us that Scottish cyclists are desperately needed for the Scottish section of the cycle. Agents can take part in as much or as little of the route as they choose.

The Scottish section starts next Tuesday,  August 14, led by Martin Farrington from Intercounty who will be cycling the whole route.

The team will be starting at South Shields, cycling to Berwick Upon Tweed. From there the cyclists will ride to Edinburgh, Carnoustie, Aberdeen, Banff, Inverness, Golspie and finishing in John O’Groats – totalling eight days in the saddle.

Farrington said: “Why not join us in creating a lasting Olympic legacy? It’s a wonderful opportunity for all of us to come together, have fun, celebrate the Olympics and do something to help improve people’s lives.”

The Estate Agency Foundation helps eliminate the causes of homelessness through supporting projects run by charities including, St Mungo’s, Shelter and Broadway.
