Ivy Gate, the new London estate agency backed by ex-Dragon James Caan, is run by a trio of former Your Move agents.

It attracted a lot of attention when it launched this summer, as it is being built on a US model.

But today, founder Jason Tebb makes it clear that is not an American multi-listing business. It is, however, modelled on US-style customer service, which he describes as mind-blowing.

    The biggest part of US real estate is the ability for a realtor to offer clients greater exposure via other local agents. The next main part is beng able to access more local listings via other agents.

    MLS is 60-70% the US agents model.
