Eagle eyes were enthralled to see a property listing appear on Rightmove on Friday morning with a very unusual photograph.

The property itself seems fairly unremarkable, “a rarely available three bedroom detached home” for sale at £179,950 with Your Move’s Hobin Roberts office in Northampton.

However, when he got to the bedroom, the negotiator seemed unable to resist striking a ‘he-man’ pose in front of the full-length wardrobe mirrors while simultaneously taking the picture which found its way on to Rightmove. Oops!

It was but a fleeting glimpse. The property’s full listing was rapidly taken down (spoilsports), so the picture is no longer available and we can only guess what the vendor may have thought.

However, for those who missed it, here you are.

CONGRATUATIONS!! (even if well belated...) - and welcome to the world, ickle Grace!! x

If she's owt like her Mum, then I'm certain that CountryBaby will be a major force to be reckoned with in years to come.

Look out, vendors and purchasers from 2031 or so!! ;o)

CountryBaby is a happy little girl, a fairly strapping specimen apparently to judge by other babies her age or older.... Everywhere I go she seems to be bigger than the rest. But hubby and I are both tall and she seems long rather than fat so I'm not too worried. Names vary depending on the time and mood, from 'sweetie' to 'what the heck is wrong?' But mainly Grace.

Born exactly on time, and has already been to help me with a valuation, so possibly a future estate agent! (Friend of family wanted a rough guide on second home, I didn't just rock up at the office and do appointments! ;-))

So... jeez this is like pulling teeth...

What flavour of CountryBaby did yourself and CountryLad produce??

This is the best news to appear on EAT in a while!! ;o)

I am only to be a part-time coal-miner I'm afraid, CountryBaby requires the rest of my time!

CL... the pleasure is always mine when it comes to our discussions - and your impending return to the coalface is welcomed!

Now then, come on and spill the beans! ;o)

PeeBee my friend, I'm just trying to get up to speed on what's happening in preparation for my return to work :-(

    Discussions are always good though!

Believe me, the picture doesn't fall.

No matter how precarious it appears to be perched, not how vigorous one may be ;)

Country Lass - NICE TO 'SEE' YOU AGAIN!! ;o)

Hope you are well and killing the competition!

Now that your goodself, AceofSpades and Jonnie all reappear I look forward to some sensible debate and banter.

    EAT has missed you all!

Someone who dealt with all our corporates once uploaded all the photos of a property, then made it live without checking, so it ended up being advertised with a great big board in the kitchen bearing the slogan 'Gordon Brown is a w****r'! Was not overly pleased when we spotted that!

Having worked for YM I'm surprised the admin department let him get away with it, I once got told to go and retake the garden shot as you could see the top of the vendors head peeking from behind a shrub!

Blue - only if alone at the time, surely, in your scenario?

And you say that its ME who is staring at pictures too intently...? ;o)

Pee Bee... smacked in the face surely, not back of the head.

You have spent waaaaay too long staring at that picture.

Just imagine how many similar (...or FAR worse...) shots will end up on RM when this 'upload from your smartphone' malarkey takes off...

The only thing that worries me in the shot is the 'heart' picture precariously balanced on the headboard...

...a clear-cut H&S issue if I've ever seen one. Someone warn the vendor he/she is at serious risk of getting clattered on the back of the head by that in a moment of p@$$ion! ;o)

Quite clearly a Rumpy-Pumpy R.A.M.S. is required in such a situation.

There's a great picture of me on Facebook (if you know where to look...) fast asleep in the living room of a house that me an a colleague were taking on.

He was there to take photos, floorplans and virtual tours.

This was our third take on in a row, the previous two meeting vendors, this one with keys.

I was there to do paperwork, ID, etc and as the designated driver.

I got bored and this was in the days before Angry Birds...

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Guys guys guys....I think you are all missing the point here....the most worrying aspect of this photo is down to the owner. How they can leave their house with head held high is beyond me when they cant even smooth out the bedding. What is the world coming to!

The picture is funny sure, and if this was all a ploy to gain maximum exposure for the property and was agreed with the vendor before going on the portals, then I concede it is a stroke of genius. However, i doubt it was and so don't try and cover up the fact that this was unprofessional by deflecting the attention on to me. Besides It's a bit early for Malibu.

You cannot help but look at the image and chuckle and think, he cant of been doing the job for many years, he seems far to happy and joyful!

Hope he closed the wardrobe door and removed the clothes from the radiator before taking the real photograph.

I can see that in life there are more things to worry about than a picture like this. However as an estate agent that takes an enormous amount of pride in my job I would be concerned that this picture actually made it onto the property portals. We thoroughly check all our pictures and make sure they show a property in the best possible light. It is a minor detail but I would have made sure the wardrobe door was fully closed and the towel removed from the radiator. Estate agents should act in a professional manner at all times to demonstrate they are serious about selling property.

Oh, happy chappy. You actually searched the Your Move website to get some quotes for that gem of a post. Well done.

Don't take life so seriously, have a Malibu.

    Countryagent is spot on.

I agree with Country Agent and I hope both the vendor and the hapless negotiator's manager do too.

There's no way the picture could be considered rude or offensive in any way so lighten up chaps.

"Our emphasis on customer service and professional conduct has earned Your Move 49 national property awards in the last 8 years" oops

"Professional ethics are at the heart of what we do" oops.

"You'll get professionally designed particulars with colour photographs to show your home at its best." oops

I hope the vendor cancels the contract and gives the instruction another agent .

Good to see there is still some fun in the industry! We are all guilty of taking ourselves Far too seriously most of the time! Hope the management see this as what it was, a bit of fun, the person doing the listing perhaps needs to check the photos a bit more carefully before upload though!!!

Nothing unusual here! Standard stuff for most negs.
Given the decor one suspect the vendor fully approved. Perhaps they objected to his tie clashing with the duvet cover
