Congratulations to Sussex agent Guy Leonard & Company, who celebrated their 20th anniversary with a fund-raising ball that will see £4,000 donated to the Dame Vera Lynn Trust, which helps children with cerebral palsy.

The agency was set up by Guy and Mary Leonard in 1992 with the help of their secretary Mary.

Neil Moore joined within a few months and subsequently married Mary. Guy Leonard retired a few years ago and the company is now run by the Neil and Mary Moore, the latter heading up the firm’s lettings department.

The company began with one office, but now has three, plus a sister company, Amberley House Cottage Holidays.

The ball attracted 125 people and a highlight was a presentation made by Guy Leonard to Angie Blunden, who is the longest serving member of the agents’ team.

Well done to Guy Leonard & Co.

In times where everyone are worrying about their own bottom lines (with good reason...), the good old British Spirit of caring for the needs of others keeps shining through!

I sincerely hope you reap rewards for your noble deeds!

One note on the above to clear up any confusion, the name of the secretary is Cathy (not Mary!), Neil then married Cathy and now they run the company together!

Thank you for the post, we are all still on such a high from the success of the ball.
