A three-branch estate agent in south London has converted to become a Century 21 franchise.

Tim Purnell, who operated Abbey Estate Agents in Stockwell, Tooting and Mitcham, has been in the industry for over 15 years.

He said he decided to join Century 21 to benefit from its existing office network and brand coverage in the London area.

Purnell said: “I am really excited at our decision to join Century 21 and that our current offices will undergo refurbishment and a rebrand which will then see us launch as Century 21 offices on September 1, as we head into the autumn market.

“Century 21 was a natural choice for us and we hope to grow our coverage with further offices in the coming months.”

Stuart White, director at Century 21, said: “This will enhance our client offering substantially in the London area.

“Abbey Estate Agents have operated in their local market for some years and this provides an exciting way forward for both our businesses for the benefit of clients as well as providing the additional referral opportunities associated with being a part of a global estate agency system.”
