Sorry but you are not the market. You are intermediaries. Merely another channel to market for vendors. I wish you well but I guess we’ll see where the pudding is.👍🏻

Show me a challenger portal that has truly succeeded 'FOR CLIENTS', not agents and I will eat my hat! The whole mentality I see in these portals is 'what's good for the agent' and hang the client. That model is doomed to fail.

They are not doing anything different, innovative or remarkable. Should have saved their coin. The concept of 'forever' is twee, but misguided, in a society where 'forever' lasts as long as the latest facebook/tioktok/instagram etc. post . Impossible to fulfil as people buy people as any good agent knows, so for a real estate brand to be a 'forever' choice is unsustainable.

The challenge is to be something different for the user. Launching a portal just to reduce costs to the agents is self absorbed. In addition, with Boomin coming on stream, the waters will be much murkier and again ask ‘how does this benefit your client’? MOST buyers and sellers are fine with using RM and as such grabbing attention and engagement in a busy world is very hard. They don’t want to search multiple portals and they don’t want to miss out so RM delivers.

As they say, turnover is vanity, profit is reality, cash is king! The saturated market of 'online' models plugging a pathetically low fee structure here in UK means that it's just a volume game. What true professional is going to give head, heart and soul to a vendor for a few hundred quid reward. The vendors are the biggest losers as they have been conditioned to think low fees are the key to a great sale price. Warped logic.

One provider is offering FREE listing, so the chimps working for them HAVE to upgrade vendors or starve so who is the agent going to be thinking about when they need to eat. Another is offering listings ‘from £1’. Muppetville.

Just goes to show how crap the system is. Basically if you have two feet and a heartbeat you can pass yourself off as an expert. The biggest losers are the vendors as they only want to pay peanuts so get monkeys. FFS the rampant commoditisation of real estate is so toxic for all.

I’ve met surveyors who don’t know one end of a brick from another and are unqualified to do a condition report. They are not builders, plumbers, electrical specialists or pest experts and have no credence in those areas. For all the report is worth your better off having a plumber, sparky, builder and pest guy do an assessment and be happy to spend the money for experts in their field. We have this process in Australia when I practised there and find the system here less than satisfactory.
